Loqai Quarial Opatur
Loqai Quarial Opatur
Loqai Quarial Opatur is the selection process by which the Royal House of Ta’ Kanasiti is chosen for a period of 200 years.
During the Loqai Quarial Opatur, the very best representatives of each of the recognized Houses travel to the city of Asthiert Valoth. There, they spend several days in meditation within the Church of Quarial Ta’luthin.
The chosen one is marked with a raised tattoo upon their chest, just below the neck, bearing the sign of the Quarial Ta’luthin. This individual and their House then become the Royal House of Ta’ Kanasiti for the next 200 years.
Lathian View
While Lathia recognizes the legitimacy of the Royal House of Ta’ Kanasiti, it remains disappointed in the realm. Many within Lathia see the Loqai Quarial Opatur as a distancing of Ta’ Kanasiti from older Ta’Jahu culture and the decrees of the Quarial Ta’luthin as understood in Lathia.
To Lathian traditionalists, the process represents a step away from the deeper structure of Ta’Jahu House authority.
Beyond Ta’ Kanasiti
Beyond the borders of either Lathia or Ta’ Kanasiti, Ta’Jahu from both nations still hold the honor of their Houses above nearly all else.
Though the two realms differ in their customs and political interpretations, House identity remains central to Ta’Jahu life, reputation, duty, and loyalty.
