Salt River
The Salt River is not as ancient as the other rivers, it was once two rivers, one that flowed in the ancient Cold Sea, and the other flowing from the sea into the Vaheem. When the Cold Sea was turned into the salty plains of the Vast after the mythical battle between Lord Arcanist Sargun and Magnara the God of Magic. The rivers eventually merged and the salty surface of the vast has caused the lower portion of the river to become a salt water river, almost an extension of the Vaheem. It is deep river, though only at most 2000 feet wide, and because of its salt content it has become the home of many normal sea dwelling fish and beasts. Its size is also the result of the smaller Ulk Hold River that crosses the Vast and acts like a road for the nearby town of Gunaithus, the Black Gate.
