Shining River
One of the shortest rivers, the Shining River starts in the highlands of the Via’ Asthierr Mountains joined the river Benlhar near the town of Lyrabion in Myanothia. It is also called the Nau'nil Ratrel, Cor Shan for Laughing River. To the Ta' Jahuthis the river flows from what they describe as the Font of Eternity as it cascades out of an opening in a granite cliff side. The Ta' Jahu of Ta' Kanasiti believe that this is a portal to the Avadhan, the Celestial Home of the Quarial Ta’luthin. The river from high above sounds like laughter as it crashes into the pools below the opening in the granite cliff.
To the humans that settled Myanothia when they first came to the region the river shined like silver as it dropped down the numerous small cascades and falls from the upper highlands. It is believed by the common people and Skardi (traveling poets) that the river to be sacred to Gishra, Atura and Anthia.
