Unabeden dust
Because most all technology (aradgah) relies on the use of dolakh crystals or thaumic batteries to function, technology simply doesn't work in many locations. This is a result of unabeden (negative residue as a result of spellcasting and magic use that infects the Omniverse) which can permeate an area rendering the dolakh crystals lifeless and can drain thaumic batteries to mere shells.
Because of unabeden, which is often found in the form of super-fine particles of sand-like material located in everyday soil, vast areas can be affected. The void is known to have asteroids and meteors that are laced with unabeden and landing on one before knowing this is essentially a death sentence for crews that must then rely on the use of other magical means to escape. Additionally, there are known clouds of unabeden that blow through the void carried by around currents of interstellar winds. Records show that these clouds can be mega in size have a total diameter of up to 10 lojasors.
These areas can make aradgah useless, though not all unabeden effects both, some only effects the dolakh crystals and while other types effects only thaumic battery energy, but the majority effects both.
