Flowing Road
The river Pultharista, while not an actual land road, has the distinction to be considered one of the most important transportation routes in the Eastern Realms. It connects one part of the Grey Road in the north to its southern route.
Prior to its merging its little sister the Dhal River, it is a swift moving river as it cascades out of the Urith Dal Mountains falling quickly over great falls, and collecting numerous streams. Once it meets the Dhal River, it suddenly slows, widens and becomes very deep.
As it makes its way south it widens from a small 50’ wide, 10’ deep river to nearly 300’ feet wide and nearly 50’ deep before it feeds into the Sea of Tarn in a muddy cascade of silt.
The river is a natural passage way for small barges and ships that are used to move trade up river to Zak-Cha and has given rise to a specific society of river people called Okcato. They are made up of several clans of dejah humans that are water-travellers, and live mainly aboard boats traversing the river.
The river is also home to numerous beasts and monsters ranging from giant pike and ithanguls to lizard kin and the occasional water dragon or two.
