Valley of the Axe
The Valley of the Axe was created a millennium ago when an ancient dragon cavern collapsed severing the connection between Ekahtu and the rest of the Tuurith Nyg Mountain range. The valley was given its name because from high above it appears as though the mount was severed from the range by some giant axe.
Over the span of history the valley floor has slowly given rise to seven lakes, where rain water and spring run off from the Tuurith Nygs have filled the lowest depressions after the collapse.
Scattered through out the region are massive mounds of large boulders that have been worn smooth and roundish over time. These large mounds have created many small caves that have over time become homes to animals and monstrous beings.
Currently the Valley of the Axe is dominated by the Hatak Oruak clan who rule with an iron fist and demand tribute from the various other goblin, goatmen, and kaznark tribes. They are constantly waging war against a large clan of earth giants that have claimed the center region of the Valley as their territory.
