The Void
Most of the Omniverse is an empty desert of black space known as the Void, and it is what lies between the planets and stars. All the celestial bodies in the Omniverse float in this region. It does not have an atmosphere like planets, asteroid bases or the like, neither is it a vacuum. Beyond the comforts of a reikosjharna, it is a harsh, unlivable region with extreme cold (-250 degrees). Most individuals will “cold boil” to death within a few seconds and will quickly suffocate for the lack of breathable air.
The Void can be divided into two regions: deep Void and solvetras. Deep Void are the regions between the various solvetras within an arphemhals and contain very little in the way of civilization or life and are known for the very extreme cold. Solvetras are the regions where planets spin around a Rhu or multiple Rhu’s. The Void remains an unlivable area in both cases, though the extreme cold is somewhat lessened within a solvetras (-150 degrees). There are huge portions of the Void that considered Dead-Void.
Moving within the Void is very similar to flying or sailing in the atmosphere of most worlds, however, without the same type of atmosphere as worlds, Void sailing and maneuverability takes both skill and the right kind of equipment on ships. Predominately, most travel through the Void is a straight line from point A to Point B, with very few course adjustments to avoid unwanted attention or the various Void storms.
The Void, on a basic level, is the vastness of space between worlds and other objects moving through the Omniverse. But it is not without substance or “atmosphere”. There is a “thickness” to the darkness, which allows vehicles to maneuver with ease and allows monstrous creatures to live and breed behind moons.
It is a hostile environment to nearly all life that is not Void-borne. It is extremely cold, filled with an unbreathable atmosphere of toxic gases, poisonous to non-Void-borne. It has no gravitational pull. It is often referred to as the “Black Ocean” of the verse.
